Novena Prayer for Life to Our Lady of Guadalupe
December 4-12
O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of Life,
we honor you as Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Thank you for pointing us to Jesus your Son,
the only Savior and hope of the world.

Renew our hope in Him,
that we all may have the courage to say Yes to life,
and to defend those children in danger of abortion.

Give us your compassion to reach out to those tempted to abort,
and to those suffering from a past abortion.

Lead us to the day when abortion will be a sad, past chapter in our history.
Keep us close to Jesus, the Life of the World,
Who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.

St. Andrew Christmas Novena

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.

(It is piously believed that whoever recites the above prayer fifteen times a day from the feast of
St. Andrew (30th November) until Christmas will obtain what is asked.)

Imprimatur
+MICHAEL AUGUSTINE, Archbishop of New York
New York, February 6, 1897

This prayer is often called the "Christmas Novena" because it is prayed from the Feast of Saint Andrew
the Apostle (November 30) until Christmas. The first Sunday of Advent is the Sunday closest to the
Feast of Saint Andrew. You can say the prayer all 15 times, all at once; or divide up the recitation
as necessary (perhaps five times at each meal).

Novena prayer to Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph, you are the faithful protector and intercessor of all who love and venerate you. I have special confidence in you. You are powerful with God and will never abandon your faithful servants. I humbly invoke you and commend myself, with all who are dear to me, to your intercession. By the love you have for Jesus and Mary, do not abandon me during life, and assist me at the hour of my death.
Glorious Saint Joseph, spouse of the immaculate Virgin, Foster-father of Jesus Christ, obtain for me a pure, humble, and charitable mind, and perfect resignation to the Divine Will. Be my guide, my father, and my model through life that I may merit to die as you did in the arms of Jesus and Mary.
Loving Saint Joseph, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I raise my heart to you to implore your powerful intercession in obtaining from the Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly the grace of a happy death, and the special grace I now implore: (Mention your request). Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I am confident that your prayers on my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God.

Novena to the Holy Family

O most loving Jesus, Who by Thy sublime and beautiful virtues of humility, obedience, poverty, modesty,
charity, patience and gentleness, and by the example of Thy domestic life didst bless with peace and happiness the family Thou didst choose on earth, in Thy clemency look down upon this household, humbly prostrate before Thee and imploring Thy mercy.

Remember that this family belongs to Thee; for to Thee we have in a special way dedicated and devoted ourselves.

Look upon us in Thy loving kindness; preserve us from danger; give us help in time of need, and grant us the grace to persevere to the end in the imitation of Thy Holy Family; that having revered Thee and loved Thee faithfully on earth, we may bless and praise Thee eternally in heaven.

O Mary, most sweet Mother, to thy intercession we have recourse, knowing that thy Divine Son will hear thy prayers.

And do thou, O glorious Patriarch, St. Joseph, assist us by thy powerful mediation, and offer, by the hands of Mary, our prayers to Jesus. Amen.

Here mention your petitions for this novena..........

1 Our Father ...
1 Hail Mary...
1 Glory Be

The Novena to the Holy Family is traditionally prayed starting on January 1st!

Spirit of God, awaken within me
The knowledge of who I am called to be
as a beloved son/daughter of God our Father
and as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Spirit of God help me to grow
in this awareness so it
permeates my heart and everything I do.

Spirit of God help me to believe
you have chosen me from
all time to be your living presence
in this world.   Let this be my destiny
and my greatest passion.

Spirit of God, set me on fire with
the power of your love
so that I can live the gospel
in new and deeper ways.

Spirit of God, give me the courage
to allow you to transform me
so that I may actively
be the Lord's disciple in this world.

Amen

What teaching of the Lord am I called to live
in a new and deeper way?

    every interaction
  • Give to anyone who asks
    of me
  • Lend without any hope of return
  • Never cling to my treasure
    on earth
  • Act with compassion
  • Avoid judging others
  • Give sacrificially to
    the poor
  • Feed the hungry
